Data Center HVAC Technician

Job Responsibilities: 

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Areas include: Electrical, Mechanical and Building Monitoring and Control. 

• Experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting and repair of commercial HVAC equipment.

• Deep understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a high-demand environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, electrical power bus, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units. 

• Have the ability to read MEP schematics.

• Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.

• Ability to communicate and interact with staff and customers in a professional manner.

• Coordinate work with other trades (i.e. electricians, HVAC technicians).

• Ensures that facilities problems are identified and repaired quickly, that contractors deliver quality services, and that internal customer demands are met.

• Maintain on-call status. Respond to emergency calls and after-hour breakdowns or emergencies per established procedure.

Job Requirements:

• +3 years of HVAC maintenance experience.

• Must have knowledge of safety rules and requirements.

• Must have a strong attention to detail.

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have the ability to multi-task.

• Must have excellent customer service skills.

• Must possess knowledge of HVAC systems.
