Payroll Manager

Description:

Sierra Staffing Group has partnered with a multi-entity development company seeking a Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi-entity setting and will have a background in Human Resources compliance. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the timely, accurate and completeness processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis. 

• Responsible for the oversight of the payroll system regarding updates of changes needed to properly track time, such as holiday, vacation, and processing employee changes such as terminations, new hires, etc, working together in all respects with the HR department.

• Maintains knowledge of rules and laws which govern payroll administration practices and is a self-starter for researching and follow up with payroll practices. 

• All HR Compliance -Maintain employee life cycle from onboarding to termination including various reporting requirements and documentation (i.e.-job descriptions, offer letters, etc.)

• Maintain Workers Compensation Program including employee injuries, claims, safety meetings and communication with our carrier and Project Managers/Superintendents

• Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

• Oversee, recommend, and develop best practices for audit schedule for payroll related function.

• Ensure that all Payroll journal entries are uploaded to the GL accounting system after each payroll processing.

• Perform month-end closing processes for payroll related items including accruals and reconciliations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

• Payroll management/processing experience: 3-5 years required; 5+ years preferred.
