Sierra Staffing Group has partnered with a fast-growing Financial Services company seeking a Vice President of Finance. This position will be responsible for overseeing and directing the Accounitng & Finance department as well as company operations. Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the Accounting, Operations and Loss Mitigation departments to accomplish organizational business objectives and performance expectations.
Directing all aspects of accounting/finance operations, review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
Review profit and loss by department and forecast vs. budget by department.
Analyzing company financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets.
Provide effective and motivational leadership to staff directly supervised, and to the entire organization as a member of the Senior Management Team.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate all department initiatives and performance for your areas of responsibility.
Interact regularly with executive management team to ensure operational priorities are aligned with organization objectives and operating requirements.
Evaluate the department structure and team plans for your areas of responsibility for continual improvement in the areas of efficiency and effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred
5-7 years Accounting/Finance experience in the financial services industry
Strong knowledge of Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles
Ability to build and lead multiple teams
Strong analytical and technology skills
