VP of Finance

Sierra Staffing Group has partnered with a fast-growing Financial Services company seeking a Vice President of Finance. This position will be responsible for overseeing and directing the Accounitng & Finance department as well as company operations. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the Accounting, Operations and Loss Mitigation departments to accomplish organizational business objectives and performance expectations.

  • Directing all aspects of accounting/finance operations, review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.

  • Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.

  • Review profit and loss by department and forecast vs. budget by department.

  • Analyzing company financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets.

  • Provide effective and motivational leadership to staff directly supervised, and to the entire organization as a member of the Senior Management Team.

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate all department initiatives and performance for your areas of responsibility.

  • Interact regularly with executive management team to ensure operational priorities are aligned with organization objectives and operating requirements.

  • Evaluate the department structure and team plans for your areas of responsibility for continual improvement in the areas of efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred

  • 5-7 years Accounting/Finance experience in the financial services industry

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles

  • Ability to build and lead multiple teams

  • Strong analytical and technology skills
