Job Responsibilities: 

• Manage the application workflow to ensure timely approvals

• Work closely with loan processors, mortgage consultants, and vendors to ensure a smooth and timely process

• Ensure that all documentation meets FNMA & FHA requirements and compliance standards

• Review and verify real estate loan packages for approval/denial

• Verify that information is accurately submitted to the desktop underwriting system

• Maintain knowledge of Fannie Mae and/or other investor guidelines and requirements

• Display support of company policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of Underwriting experience within a financial institution

• Direct Endorsement (DE) experience preferred

• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail when underwriting real estate loan files

• Time management skills

• Interpersonal communication skills
