Our client, a rapidly growing CPA firm, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team who is interested in growing into a management position. Our client is a young firm that began in 2015 with the premise to be different. The firm has made significant investments in technology to relieve tedious tasks that accountants are forced into. The investment in technology allows the firm to add more value to client’s business and lives through valuable conversations and analytics. The firm supports clients in the roles of tax compliance, outsourced accounting, and payroll.

What you’ll do: 

• Establish and execute full cycle accounting procedures

• Perform and maintain:

• Sales tax compliance, pre-payments, tax returns

• Payroll administration, guiding clients through onboarding process,

• AP via Bill.com

• GL maintenance

• Bank Recon

• Cash flow forecasting

• Budgets * Develop custom Work Paper documentation and procedure

• Train associates both on-premise and remotely

What you bring to the table:

• Strong Excel skills

• Experience in QuickBooks online

• Experience in accounting for quick service restaurants/franchises

• Strong understanding of Accrual Basis of Accounting

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus.

• Prior Accounting experience required that involved processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll. Experience preparing payroll and sales tax returns.

Your track for success:

First 30 days

• Week 1- Onboarding with the team, understanding current workflow, and processes, training on current clients

• Week 2 to 4- Full integration of client responsibilities and duties and follow the set plan, onboarding new clients,

• Work with firm ownership to create internal controls to verify work is completed accurately and set team standards

Months 2-6

• Quality control procedures are being reviewed and implemented.

• Firm development of integration between tax team and accounting team for income tax purposes

• Development of associates, set-up associate

• Work with marketing and communications lead

Months 6+

• Build internal development program

• Finalize roles and duties within accounting workflow

• Be ready to go to market with outsource accounting product offer
